Igor Sokolovsky

I joined the Edgemont team at the beginning of 2024, focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science Tools, and Animal Health Innovation sectors. Before joining Edgemont, I was a Managing Director at Moelis, where I provided M&A support to the Healthcare Life Sciences team. Prior to that, I served as a Managing Director at Guggenheim Securities for eight years, working in the M&A group with responsibilities in Healthcare and Media. My career in Healthcare Investment Banking began more than 20 years ago at Lehman Brothers. Over the years, I have also held senior roles at JPMorgan and Citi. Throughout my career, I have advised clients across the entire Healthcare continuum on Mergers & Acquisitions and other strategic initiatives.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from The Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, I hold Series 7, 24, and 63 securities licenses.

After spending more than 20 years at several leading investment banks as an M&A banker, I joined Edgemont to build my own coverage effort, focusing on sectors and companies that I am passionate about. I enjoy balancing my time between companies that are owned and led by their founders and those benefiting from institutional capital.

Although I started my career working at larger investment banks, I have spent the past 10 years at independent platforms. The independent firm environment fosters the development of closer and more meaningful client relationships. I have been fortunate to partner with and advise many smart, accomplished, and interesting leaders who have built innovative companies that advance the field of healthcare.

Over the years, I have advised founders, financial sponsors, and public and private companies on over $170 billion in more than 50 M&A transactions, including more than 15 transactions valued at over $1 billion.

When I am outside of the office, I live by the motto that change is the best rest. Whether I am watching a great movie with my kids, spending a night on the town with my wife, going for a drive on a winding road, or simply enjoying the outdoors in the country or near the ocean, I cherish spending time with my family and friends.
